Light and Banana leaf

Taken in the Chennai, over at a relative’s roof top. A lot of Banana trees were in their compound.  Banana Leaves are of a lot of importance culturally in south India; used for serving food on, for decoration at weddings, and as a part of many Hindu rituals.

Just after a heavy downpour typical to the eastern coast of India, the washed banana leaves reflect wonder colours while still wet. This shot was taken at really low apertures (this shot was at f/10), just as the leaf was drying from the rain. Incredibly sharp shot, gives makes this a wonderful photo to be printed on Canvas.
